A Summer Snooker League was started way back in 1981. This was a short-lived affair though which only lasted for two seasons. Their were teams of 6 players competing on Thursday evenings from May through to October. In 1982 there were 12 teams in the league as the scan below of the first 4 fixtures shows along with a copy of the fixture booklet and first 3 weeks results.
